#indieNovember 2020
Sunday marks the beginning of our #indieNovember challenge for 2020! For the last 3 years we’ve put together a list of daily prompts to help indies share their business journeys on Instagram, and indie fans to support their favourite indies and local businesses they have discovered.
This is for challenge is for anyone, wherever you are, not just Oxford. Whether you’re bricks and mortar, online, a designer maker or an indie supporter, this is a great way to support indies this month.
Independent businesses help to ground us, and make us feel connected to our communities, which is more important now than ever, and we hope this challenge will make you feel more rooted and part of our community.
If you’d like to be involved, post this image on your Instagram or save as a highlight, then post a picture that relates to the prompt each day. You can post images to your grid or stories, and join in when you can if you can’t post everyday. Follow #indieNovember for inspiration, and to support and discover awesome indie businesses. >>

Anna and I are passionate about supporting indies, and have built up Independent Oxford over the last 5 years to support and promote independent businesses in our county.
We have a real focus to share our mission to create real social change by showing the value of buying local. We’re determined to encourage people to invest in their local economy and community, and I think more than ever, more of us see the value there. Each Indie Oxford member helps us to realise our mission, and supports our work to put the local economy on the map.

By supporting independents, we are supporting each other, and keeping our neighbourhoods a great place to be part of.
Ultimately, by supporting indies, you’re putting money back into your community. For every £1 you spend at an indie, 63p stays in your local economy.

We hope you have fun playing along with our #indieNovember challenge, and discover lots of indies near you in the process!
Love, Rosie xxx
