Cafe at the Old Fire Station Oxford

Duty Manager at Old Fire Station

Do you have experience of working as a duty manager in a theatre, community arts centre or similar venue? Do you enjoy being part of a small team, providing great customer service to audiences and the public?

The Duty Manager (DM) is responsible for ensuring all front of house operations run smoothly, providing excellent customer service and an informed welcome in line with the values and identity of the Old Fire Station. They will work with audiences, the general public, artists, hirers, volunteers and Crisis members. The DM is responsible for health and safety operations of the building when on duty and will supervise Front of House staff and volunteers on shift. At the end of the shift the DM is responsible for locking up and securing the building.

Employability Support Worker for Oxford Wood Recycling

Oxford Wood Recycling are seeking a part-time (22.5hours/week) £27-29k FTE Employability Support Worker to work with people facing barriers to employment. The role will focus on improving our training and development, strengthening our information systems as well as working with people seeking employability support and potential employers.

Waterside Cafe Farmoor Oxfordshire Rachel

Cook at Waterside Cafe

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Cook to join the team at Waterside Cafe, based at Farmoor Reservoir. The role is every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, plus every other weekend, with shifts mainly 9am-4pm. You’ll help prepare and cook our cafe menu, working as part of a small, friendly team in a relaxed setting overlooking the reservoir. Previous kitchen or cooking experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right person.

Pay starts from £13 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include paid breaks, free coffee while on shift, staff discount on food, plus access to further employee discounts through our HR platform. As the cafe is located at Farmoor Reservoir, applicants must be able to travel to the site reliably. If you enjoy cooking, working with people and being part of a welcoming independent cafe, we’d love to hear from you.
