Indie Events in Oxford: September 2025
Welcome to the September edition of the Indie Events in Oxfordshire.
You might be getting tired of my constant complaints about how this year is flying by, but I just can’t help it. Let’s see what is going on this September as the usual routine kicks in.


Doggy Day
A special day for dogs and their hoomans!
The Dog’s Spot and The Cluster have partnered to bring ‘Doggy Day’ to life at The Cluster. It is going to be a day filled with tips, demos, treats, and lots of fun.

Suitcase Stories
Never-ending entertainment at The Story Museum.
Featuring a different story each month, get carried away by puppeteer Emma Boor’s luggage of well-loved tales at Suitcase Stories. Sessions are packed with puppets, music, and lots of participation.

Crack Your Heart Open BackBends
Join YogaVenue for deep backbending.
This 90-minute workshop will cover the basics and the techniques to transform and deepen your backbends. A range of topics, including spinal extension and flexion, hip mobility, and glute activation, will be covered.

Family Friendly Wormery and Composting workshop
Interested in composting?
Oxford City Farm is hosting a workshop where you will have the chance to learn how to turn food waste from a climate-changing challenge into fertile food for the farm, which you can then do at home.
Saturday 6th September, 14:00-16:00

Rest & Renew Workshop
Connect with nature, your yoga practice, and breath.
Join Yogipod for a retreat where you will have the chance to rest and feel renewed. The retreat is hosted in a cosy stable studio where you will explore the physical practice through asana and other methods.

Market Tap Live
Who doesn’t love an open mic night!
Tap Social is hosting ‘A Night of Music’ at The Market Tap, held every third Friday of the month. Market Tap delivers a curated night of the top local talent in the iconic Covered Market.
