ABOUT

The Story Museum’s independent book shop is well-stocked with classic stories as well as all the latest exciting releases from your favourite authors, including graphic novels, picture books, poetry, myths and legends. The shop also has a dyslexia-friendly section, plus an array of board books, toys and clothes. Plus, there are regular in-store book signings from authors and illustrators.

The Story Museum shop is a perfect place to find beautiful book-themed gifts that include carefully selected soft toys, dressing-up toys, puppets, stationery, socks, prints, homeware and more.

Drop in for a hot drink, lunch or a sweet treat all year round at The Story Museum’s Café. Cosy up with a hot chocolate in wintry weather or enjoy an ice-cream or cool drink in the spacious courtyard.

With a delicious menu of freshly prepared, homemade dishes, The Story Museum’s Café serves food to suit all ages and appetites, with gluten-free and vegan options always available, using local suppliers, fair-trade and free-range ingredients.

As a registered charity, all proceeds from The Story Museum’s box office, shop and café go towards supporting work to enrich lives through stories.

Ruby Livesey The Story Museum Oxford

I love working in the heart of Oxford in a museum that makes a difference by sharing stories! We’ve always got so many exciting things going on in our unique building. In our bright and colourful shop, we showcase our exhibitions and events and specialise in early years books and products. Our story-themed café is family friendly and sells a great selection of local products.
