ABOUT

The North Wall brings together artists and audiences from Oxford and beyond to make, share and access art of the highest quality. For almost twenty years, the arts centre has offered a vibrant programme which now attracts over 30,000 visitors to more than 100 performances and exhibitions each year. From national tours of ground-breaking drama to comedy nights with household names, audiences can experience a range of events in its beautiful 200-seat theatre, offering the chance to get up close to the action on stage.

The gallery showcases local contemporary artists, with a programme of regularly-changing exhibitions that give visitors the opportunity to buy work and meet the makers at free talks and workshops throughout the year. Families and young people from the local community are also encouraged to create and learn through The North Wall’s participation programme, which offers courses and masterclasses in term-time and the school holidays.

North Wall Arts Centre Oxford

It’s wonderful to work in a place where all the arts are celebrated, everyone is welcome, and visitors can experience so much in one visit. It’s a place where creatives, families and young people from all over Oxford can come together time and time again, create connections and become part of our community – there isn’t anywhere else like it. Oxford has such a rich cultural scene and there’s so much on our doorstep to experience.
