Indie Events in Oxford: February 2026
Welcome to the February edition of the Indie Events in Oxfordshire.
January feels like the longest month, and then February hits, and it usually flies by. Make the most of the month with our amazing Indies.


Pal/Galentines Afternoon Workshop
Looking for something to do on the 14th?
Jessie’s Art Shed is hosting a workshop for a Pal/Galentines afternoon, where you will have access to any crafts you would like from their ‘Art Menu’, plus refreshments from their ‘Cafe Menu’. Although this isn’t a taught session, the team will be available to assist you with anything.

Liberate your creativity.
This month’s Drawing Club theme is Fashion Life Drawing. Hosted at the Old Fire Station, you can expect fantastic layering, a bold colour palette, and headpieces from his iconic hat collection. As always, no experience needed, just a light-hearted spirit prepared to give it a go.

Beginners Crochet
Keen to give crocheting a go?
The Woolhound is hosting two beginner crochet workshops with Josie. Supplies will be provided for the class, and tickets are £35.

The Drawing Project Exhibition
New exhibition at The North Wall.
The Drawing Project is a collaborative work involving sixteen artists and two paintings from the Ashmolean Museum: The Forest Fire by Piero di Cosimo and The Exposition of Moses by Nicholas Poussin. Each artist produced their drawings to scale using a variety of drawing and painting media, with some also working in collage.
Thursday 12th February to Saturday 7th March

Two Young Dragons
Entertain the kids this half-term.
The Story Museum is hosting storyteller Lucy Walter for an enchanting and interactive performance, which is perfect for 4-8-year-olds. Mystery and mayhem await two young dragons as a great storm sweeps them into each other’s land. Children must be accompanied, and adults require their own tickets.

Oxford Life Drawing
Life Drawing at Common Ground is back!
Get back into life drawing with more fantastic models, cool sounds, a friendly buzz, and a wonderful bar with lots of delicious drinks. These classes give you a chance to focus on your own art in a supportive environment.
Starting Tuesday 10th February (running every other week), 19:00-21:00

Sketchbook Journal Workshops
Ever wanted to keep a sketchbook journal?
Hosted at The Cluster, join Lorraine Berkshire-Roe for this ‘Paper Engineering’ workshop. You will be using techniques such as pop-ups and other paper engineering techniques to add another dimension to your sketchbook.

25hr Hot Yoga Conversion Course for Yoga Teachers
Learn how to teach Hot Yoga.
YogaVenue is running a course focused on teaching you how to safely and confidently create and teach Hot Yoga Flow and Power Classes. Join in person or live online for 2 days of learning.
Thursday 5th to Friday 6th February, 9:30-17:30
