ABOUT
The recently rebranded Waterside Cafe at Farmoor Reservoir will focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients and local produce when possible. Open daily from 8:30 am-5:30 pm, it will serve coffee from Dark Horse Coffee, eggs from Mayfield Eggs, breads from The Natural Bread Company and a Pippin doughnut day once a month. All cakey treats will be made in-house.
The menu will include brunch, lunch, sandwiches, salads, cakes, and daily specials. Come for the welcoming environment, great food and unbeatable views of the water.
Rachel aims for the cafe to be a community hub, open to visitors and sailing club members alike.
I may be biased, but in my opinion the views across the water here are the best in Oxford – gorgeous sunsets, sailboats, windsurfers and foilers gliding by. It’s a vibrant community that I’m honored to be a part of. I’m excited to bring my love of baking to the cafe, using ingredients from local producers and suppliers that I admire. We will be keeping the essence of Roo’s Kitchen and continuing to produce beautiful and delicious bespoke celebration cakes and seasonal bakes from our new base at the reservoir. The Waterside Cafe is a very special place to me, with its incredible views, wonderful regulars, and chance to support small businesses in the area that I care deeply about.
