We Are The Disruptors is a hospitality-focused social media and marketing consultancy business based in Oxfordshire. Founded by Katy Steele, who stepped away from a high pressure marketing role in the music industry, the business helps independent pubs, cafés, restaurants and inns turn social media into measurable revenue.
Rather than chasing trends or vanity metrics, We Are The Disruptors builds structured marketing systems that connect awareness, trust, bookings, guest experience and loyalty. Every strategy is shaped around the individual venue, its local audience and its real booking patterns.
The company works closely with owners and teams, delivering content strategy, filming days, campaign planning and long term growth frameworks designed to increase footfall and repeat visits. The focus is practical marketing that drives bookings, not just engagement.
I grew up working in hospitality, so it has always felt like home. Even when I was in the music industry, independent grassroots venues were at the core of everything we did. Hospitality is tough at the moment and I want to help as many businesses as I can, whether through social media management or simple, honest advice.
Being based in Oxfordshire makes that even more meaningful. It is full of character, local pride and independent businesses that genuinely care. I want to play my part in helping great venues stay open and be known for what they do best.
