September always feels like the start of something new, I don’t know whether it’s because Oxford is such an academic city, or if there’s just a general resurgence after the summer break, but I’m excited about the month ahead! LIVE MUSIC

Music is back at Fusion Arts this autumn, kicking off with Divine Schism presenting Aoife Nessa Frances on 1st September, with support from John Francis Flynn, Aphra Taylor, and Gene Freak.
FESTIVALS

Blenheim Palace are hosting their inaugural Autumn Festival on 24th – 26th September & 1st – 3rd October to celebrate the harvest season, and support lots of local indies too! Expect stalls, workshops & talks from some of your favourite Oxfordshire small businesses. Entry is free with an annual pass. Find out more on the Blenheim Palace website.

To celebrate the Oxfordshire Great Big Green Week from 18th – 26th September, I’m teaming up with Good Food Oxfordshire to celebrate local producers, suppliers and dishes. Check out the Oxfordshire Big Green Week website for more information.
FOOD & DRINK

The Oxford Wine Festival is back from Friday 10th to Saturday 11th September this year, with a whole host of exhibitors including awesome Oxfordshire indie L’Altre Vi. Find out more & book your tickets at The Oxford Wine Festival.

Grape Minds will be hosting wine tasting in both their Summertown & Wallingford shops this September. Check out the Grape Minds website to book your spot.


Taking place on the second Tuesday of each month, BSM Social Club are welcoming home brewers of all levels to come in and bring a few of their brews to share with the group. A perfect chance to get feedback on your own recipes, share tips, and find help with any stumbling blocks you’ve encountered.
EXHIBITIONS

The Sarah Wiseman Gallery are hosting the acclaimed artist Sarah Spackman from 11th September to 2nd October, who will present her hugely anticipated solo exhibition ‘Drawing in Colour’.

The Jam Factory in Oxford, are hosting ‘Where the Air Clings Close’ by Hannah Ferreira-Allen. It’s an exhibition of paintings inspired by familiar places to the artist. The show will take place in The Jam Factory’s Boiler Room Gallery Space until 19th September 2021.
WELLBEING
