Stallholder focus: Holly B
Our Independent Oxford Christmas Market takes place on 2nd December this year at Turl Street Kitchen in Oxford. Over the coming weeks we will be inviting our indies to tell us a little more about their companies and share the products that they will be selling at the market.
Today Holly Jones talks to us about her business.

Tell us about your business Holly.
My brand HollyB was started while doing my art degree and I have since carried on producing products. I love designing, especially printed textiles and surface patterns. I enjoy being outside and my work is inspired by the English countryside.
Tell us a bit about yourself, your role and what you enjoy most about your job.
My work focuses on endangered species and wildflowers, throughout my work I concentrate on the environment with emphasis on the chemical impact of farming and the problems related to the use of pesticides. To show I am conscious of my carbon footprint my work is mainly material led, I use natural dying, organic and recycled materials. I use contrasting florescent pigment to print with, to show the contradictions and chemical elements throughout the countryside.

Describe the gifts you will be selling at the Independent Oxford Christmas Market.
I will be selling a mixture of hand printed furnishings, accessories, stationery, prints and upholstered furniture. All products are screen printed or digitally designed, my work ranges from £2.50 – £40.

What’s your favourite product in your range this season?
My favorite products this year are the Christmas Bee Decorations I have produced using clay and organic fabric.

Lastly, what are your favourite indies in Oxford?
My favourite Oxford indies are The Annie Sloan Shop for buying Chalk paint to upcycle my upholstered pieces. As well as One For Sorrow, which is perfect for getting gorgeous handmade jewellery as gifts for friends and family. My favourite designed is Ann Tutt, I love my fabulous pyjamas made from vintage bed sheets.

We are really excited to have Holly at our market this year with her gorgeous range of gifts and stationery for Christmas. Our Christmas Market will take place on 2nd December at Turl Street Kitchen. Join us from 10 am – 5 pm for a day packed full of awesome indies and festive fun!
Love, Rosie
