ABOUT

A neighbourhood pub co. founded in east Oxford with the Rusty Bicycle, followed a couple of years later with the Rickety Press in Jericho. Having created a proven recipe for great community centred pubs, the company has grown to nine venues, five of which you can find in Oxford and one in Witney. Dodo create awesome neighbourhood pubs where you can walk in anytime with friends and grab a great pizza or burger and a drink or two.

Leo Johnson Dodo pub co

It all began in 2009 when two friends decided to take on a down-and-out boozer that stank of stale smoke, wet dog and looked like granny’s living room. We quickly realised that creating friendly neighbourhood pubs where locals can walk in anytime and grab an honest plate of food *& drink is where our heart is at. 15 years on, we’re still independent and self funded. We have nine community driven pubs that are rooted in their neighbourhoods and we still love what we do: we hope you do too.

– Leo Johnson, Co-Founder

“Dodo Pub Co. has been a firm family favourite for years. We’re forever bouncing between The Rickety Press, The Rusty Bicycle, and The Up In Arms — and on Sundays, we’ll often end up having lunch in one of the three. Each pub has its own charm, but they all share that same welcoming, laid-back feel that makes them such a big part of our family routine.”

Three women celebrate outside the upcoming Everybody Studio, a yoga, Pilates and barre studio. The shopfront features large "Coming Soon" window graphics in a warm peach and burnt orange botanical design. All three women have their arms raised in excitement — one stands to the far left in a dark long-sleeved top and black leggings, one in the centre wears a black sweatshirt, and one strikes a dynamic pose in front of the signage in a dark zip-up jacket and patterned leggings. The entrance doors to the unit are visible to the right.NewsNew yoga, Pilates and barre studio opens in Botley

One woman in the centre wears a purple patterned jacket and has bright red hair; another woman to her right has short silver hair and a green jacket. Two men wear wide-brimmed hats. The setting appears to be a garden in an overcast daylight.NewsCowley Road Carnival comeback: fundraising drive for focused 2026 event to help pave the way for full return in 2027
