Celebrate 15 Life Changing Years with Yellow Submarine at Charity Ceilidh
Yellow Submarine is celebrating 15 years of supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the fullest this year. To celebrate the milestone they have announced they will be holding a Ceilidh which aims to bring together the community in celebration as well as raise vital funds for the charity.

Yellow Submarine has been dedicated to providing life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism in Oxfordshire for 15 years. Their projects focus on increasing confidence and independence in their members as well as provide respite for families and carers.
Toby Staveley founded Yellow Submarine in 2009 to provide residential holidays for individuals with additional needs. Since then, the charity has expanded its scope to address a broader range of support needs for its members.
Today, Yellow Submarine not only continues to offer residential holidays but also runs adult daytime programmes, social clubs, and activity days during school holidays. Additionally, the charity is a well-established training provider, operating two successful social enterprise cafés in Oxford and Witney.

“We are immensely proud of the progress and achievements of Yellow Submarine over the past 15 years. Each year, we support more individuals and adapt our projects to meet the evolving needs of our members. We look forward to many more years of empowering individuals and making a positive impact in our community.” – Kate, Yellow Submarine’s Co-Director

Yellow Submarine’s Ceilidh will take place at The Corn Exchange, Witney, on Saturday 21st September with doors opening at 7.30 pm. You can expect live music, a dance caller to guide both beginners and seasoned dancers, a raffle with amazing prizes, and an insight into Yellow Submarine’s 15-year journey.

Ella O’Brien, Yellow Submarine’s Community Fundraising Officer, shares her excitement: “We are thrilled to announce our 15th Birthday Ceilidh! This event promises to be an unforgettable evening with live music from Bowreed and plenty of dancing. We warmly invite everyone from the wider community to join us, whether you are long-time supporters of Yellow Submarine or simply looking for a fun night out. Come celebrate with us and make this milestone truly special!”

Tickets for the Yellow Submarine Ceilidh are available now and can be purchased through the Eventbrite page.
All proceeds from the event will go directly towards supporting the charity and ensuring that they can continue to provide essential services to those with learning disabilities and autism in Oxfordshire.
