We love the Handlebar Cafe & Kitchen. The cafe itself is beautiful, really cosy and just perfect for a coffee or a lovely long meal with friends or family. The staff are always so friendly and make you feel so relaxed. Every meal I have had has always been DELICIOUS and the fact that all the food and drinks are sustainably sourced just makes it tastier!
– Rosie Hogg, Co-Founder at Oxford Gastro Dietitians
My favourite Oxford independent hands-down is the Handlebar Café. Regardless of why I’m in town or who I’m with, the Handlebar Café is my go-to… I never miss an opportunity! Right in the heart of Oxford yet just off the beaten track its space lends itself to lazy brunches, informal meetings, romantic dates and even young families. Their philosophy of local sourcing (from coffee to crockery!), seasonal ingredients and eliminating the use of palm oil is an inspiration. Their authenticity shines through in everything they do… I love it! Oh… did I mention the ever-smiling service and beautifully-prepared food? Next time!
– Paul Anderson, Sandfield Guesthouse
