10 Indie Oxford Instagrammers To Follow

 In Inspiration

Here at Indie Oxford we love a good Instagram account. They can be inspiring and create beautiful visual stories as well as being informative and social. I love the community element of this social media platform, and that you can easily find creative people to connect with. Hashtag projects are a great way to link up with people and unearth new ways and things to photograph. If you follow the Instagram account itself, they create great weekend projects to join in with and @its_my_week has a different project and creator every week.

Instagram also hold a World Wide InstaMeet day to encourage people to connect with other creatives in their communities. From this idea has sprung loads of local events through out the year, of which we have already held 3 in Oxford with Natasha from Candy Pop. AND we are very excited about our next Oxford Instameet which will be on Sunday 17th April, just over a week away! If you’re on Instagram and want to connect with other creatives in the area, we’d love to see you there. All you have to do is sign up here.

Oxford Instameet April 2016

We have some really inspirational accounts in our Independent Oxford community so this month I thought I would share some of my current favourites with you. I love Instagram feeds that have a strong sense of self and a visual story that runs through the images. Plus for me, anything with lots of bright, happy and colourful pictures gets my vote! Oh, and maybe the odd cat too!

@illyriapottery

A beautiful shop and pottery on Walton Street in Jericho run and owned by Katie Coston, with a little help from her cat. Katie’s feed features beautiful shots of her collections, gorgeous rolling countryside and of course Lucy Maude the cat! Katie creates a beautiful colour palette and visual story that runs through out her account.
