ABOUT

A beautiful, friendly café in the heart of Oxford. Delicious locally-sourced cakes, coffee from Jericho Coffee Traders – and beautiful Middle Eastern food from Damascus Rose Kitchen, a social enterprise supporting refugee women in the city. Come for the falafel and mezze, stay for the Pay It Forward scheme and the Old Fire Station’s commitment to working with people who face tough times. Check the website to see what’s playing in the theatre, and on show in the art gallery.

You can find OFS x Damascus Rose Kitchen in the round up of The Best Cafes in Oxford on the Independent Oxford blog.

Cafe at the Old Fire Station Oxford

The Old Fire Station was built in 1846. Since then it’s been so many things. Now it’s a building shared by two charities: Crisis Skylight Oxford, and the Old Fire Station arts centre. We love working together to produce great art, help people to be creative, support artists, include people facing tough times because of disadvantage, and work with communities across Oxford. Our café is our window into the world on George Street – we can’t wait to see you.

– Alexandra Coke, Head of Creativity & Communications

One Good Turn Oxford

A big shout out to the Old Fire Station cafe for their massive efforts to be climate friendly. 100% vegetarian, a carbon counted menu and really great people.

– Chris Michael, One Good Turn Toys

The Plot Catherine Warrilow Oxfordshire

Beautiful food, can’t think of a better place to meet for a light lunch and co-working or a catch up with friends.
