Oxfordshire Music Festival Treehouse returns for 2023
With just over a month until Treehouse Festival returns to the fields under White Horse Hill from 6th to 9th July, here’s a run down of what to expect this year, why it’s a great local festival head to, and how you can get your hands on tickets with a special Indie Oxford discount! >>

This year is set to be the best instalment of Treehouse to date with a jam packed line up of awesome music, workshops, local food stalls, and the epic Saunaverse spa.
Centred around the magnificent treehouse in the heart of Curtis’ Copse under the White Horse Hill, Treehouse is a boutique music festival nestled in the rolling hills and dappled woodlands of the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. The stunning Treehouse site is the perfect place for a brilliant weekend of revelry, wellbeing and summer vibes.
Treehouse is curated by Treehouse AF, a group of passionate festival aficionados who are on a mission to create a uniquely intimate and experiential music festival. Inspired by the likes of Burning Man, Secret Garden Party and Wilderness, Treehouse AF are building something special and this is the year to join them if you’re looking for an awesome local festival that’s inclusive, and totally indie at heart.
Here’s a taster from Treehouse 2022 to whet your appetite >>
The line up this year include festival favourite World Wide Welshman, plus Long Tonic, Joe Hicks and so much more. Check out some favourite tunes on my Spotify Treehouse playlist.
There’s also an great line up of workshops including life drawing, screen printing and Indie Oxford magazine editor Annabel Lee and I will be hosting a creative writing class!
And to top it all off, Tom has been building the Treehouse spa complete with sauna, hot tub, ice bath and wellbeing classes.

As a fiercely independent, and what’s more, local festival, Tom, Molly and the Treehouse festival team work with, and support other local businesses to create the magical weekend in Oxfordshire. You’ll find Tap Social beer behind the bar, food from White Horse Pizza and Damascus Rose Kitchen and breakfast pastries from Proof Social Bakehouse.

The site is perfectly placed below the ancient Uffington White Horse, providing stunning views to wake up to from your tent. The site itself is set over two green fields, separated by a 1.5 acre stretch of ancient woodland. The woodland was once farmed as a coppice to provide hazel spicks for local thatched cottages on the Cranfield estate.

If you like to dress up, you’re in safe hands at Treehouse! Saturday night has become famous for the spectacular, often outlandish, outfits revellers meticulously create. As the sun begins to set, it’s time to get dressed up, ready to head down to the main stage at the heart of the woods for the Saturday night headliners.
The theme this year is SPACE DISCO so think sequins, glitter balls and flares! Perfect for anyone who loves an excuse to wear the most colourful and sparkly items in their wardrobe (and yes, that includes me!)

There is an art to sculpting a good line-up that Tom and the team have been honing over the last 6 years.
They start with a blank spreadsheet, before working backwards from the headliners to gradually fill in the lineup on the main stage and Sheep Shed stage. The team aim to book their dream lineup and go from there. They always keep a couple of sets free for last minute bookings, as they’ve learnt that bands that serendipitously appear at the last minute often bring the a lot of magic to the festival!
People come to Treehouse for so much more than the music, so there is equal attention paid to the line-up of workshops, events and activities.

There’s something so lovely about being at a small festival, and the Treehouse vibe is so joyful and dreamy. PLUS there’s no schlepping stuff miles from your car to camping, or soulless big brand partnerships. Tom and the team offer so much at Treehouse, making this a really affordable way to have a magical weekend getaway, supporting local, community focused small businesses.
See you there!
