Indie Oxford Outdoor Dining Spots
Staying on the theme of summer, it is the perfect time of year to grab a drink and a bite to eat whilst getting some sunshine and fresh air.
I am a huge fan of the Oxford food scene, so here is the Independent Oxford’s 2025 outdoor dining guide- highlighting the hospitality businesses in our community that have terrace seating.

The Folly Restaurant
Riverside dining is available at The Folly all year round, but you might as well enjoy it in the sunshine. The Folly offers an incredible dining experience right on the Folly Bridge.

The Parsonage Terrace is their hidden oasis, which is inspired by the iconic Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and afernoon tea, the menu is all about classic British dishes with a modern, light touch.

Known for its French-inspired menu, ‘Pomette’, which is the French word for tipsy, is in Summertown. Their terrace area has several tables to enjoy the sunshine with their exceptional food and wines.

Dodo Pubs
Whether you are craving a pizza or a burger, your local Dodo Pub is the place to soak up some sunshine and food. From the Rusty Bicycle to The Up In Arms, their pub gardens are iconic spots in Oxford.
