ABOUT

Velocity Cycle Couriers provide ultra efficient low and zero emission deliveries across Oxford City using their eye-catching cargo bikes. They also have the capacity to collect and deliver throughout the county and beyond using their fleet of 100% electric vehicles. Run by long time friends and Oxford residents Jake Swinhoe and Will Pepper, Velocity are passionate about working with and supporting local, independent businesses to showcase some of the best produce and services our city has to offer. Velocity aim to lead in normalising zero emission delivery by offering a service that works for anyone and everyone.

Velocity Cycle Couriers Will Pepper

I moved my young family to Oxford 25 years ago, and from day one it’s felt like home. The city is rich in culture and diversity, but small enough that there’s a real sense of community. Since the launch of Velocity that network is continuing to grow wider too, as we’ve teamed up with some wonderful people and great local businesses, and we hope to work with many more.

– Will Pepper, Co-Founder & Director

From the first meeting we had with Jake and Will, we felt we could trust our catering business deliveries in their hands. For the first time we are trusting someone else to deliver our precious food, and believe me, that means a lot – we are so happy to be working with them.

– Sandra Ruge, Managing Director at Waste2Taste

Integrative Bodywork Oxford

I love working with Velocity Couriers – they deliver all my NOMO orders – they are so efficient, arranging a specific time for pick up. It’s such a feel good experience knowing that my products are being delivered by hand by cycle power. I love them.

– Lucinda Morriss, Owner at Integrative Bodywork and NOMO Skincare

Bounce Oxford Tom Gair

Not only did Velocity trust us with their branding and not only did they become great friends, but they also give us hope about the future of our city and operating a community-focused, sustainable and innovative business.

– Tom Gair, Managing Director at Bounce Design

Hugo & Kate at Hamblin Bread Oxford

Velocity are just great people to work with. The bikes look great, the service is incredibly professional and efficient, but what really marks them out is how warm and friendly everyone involved in the company is. Through working with Velocity we have been able to increase our wholesale orders and make steps towards our sustainability targets. A real win-win!

– Hugo Thurston, Co-founder at Hamblin Bread

Elisabeth Humphries Lofgrens Scandinavian Store Oxford

Velocity Cycle Couriers is an exciting and relevant concept, and a truly local business. They tick so many boxes towards the green agenda, and importantly are a happy and friendly bunch, that deliver my freshly baked Cinnamon Buns promptly every Saturday morning!

– Elisabeth Humphries, Owner at Löfgrens Nordic Style

Velocity Cycle Couriers are a lifeline for independent businesses in Oxfordshire. Reliable and proactive, we are very fortunate to work with them.
