ABOUT

Sustainable catering and café using surplus ingredients. Providing affordable and ethical food through a community café and catering service, with a vision towards a vibrant, healthy and sustainable food culture, committed to reducing food waste.

Waste2Taste was set up in March 2017 by two friends – Sandra and Marie. Two food and community activists with a combined experience of 20 years working in the voluntary sector, fiercely passionate about food, the environment and supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community.

Read the interview with owners Sandra and Marie over the Independent Oxford blog and find a delicious spanish tortilla recipe from Waste2Taste here.

Waste2Taste is an innovative food concept, designed to offer skills and opportunities through our Cooking for Health & Wellbeing courses, work experience and paid employment. We use food as a tool! We share all our food knowledge to show the world we can make magic with surplus ingredients that otherwise would have gone to waste, creating healthy and super tasty dishes.
Community is at the beating heart of everything we do and we are extremely passionate about ensuring that those most in need at this time can receive the warmth, love and comfort which comes from healthy home-cooked food.

We love Waste to Taste who regularly supply fantastic food for our conferences and events. We love the fact they deliver to our door by bicycle courier! Awesome.

As a fellow food waste warrior, we love Waste to Taste and share their mission of making sure perfectly edible food doesn’t get thrown away. We’re big fans of their menu at the fabulous Ark T Centre and as well as that, Sandra and Marie are just lovely people!

We are so lucky in Oxfordshire to be surrounded by so many amazing independent businesses, especially other social enterprises and those working to help others and for social change. One that we admire in particular is Waste2taste in east Oxford, what they have done and continue to do for others is completely inspiring, and their food is amazing!
