ABOUT

Laird Hatters is an independent British hat specialist, who hand-make a wonderful selection of hats and caps for both men and women. The brand was founded in London with 4 stores and has now expanded into Cambridge and Oxford.

Located on Cornmarket Street, Laird is a hat lover’s paradise, with a collection ranging from sophisticated Sinatra trilbies and casual Brooklyn tweed caps to dainty woollen cloches and cool Panamas.

With a friendly team led by the enthusiastic Lioudmila, it would be almost impossible not to find a statement piece to suit. All hats are handmade in Britain using traditional methods, and created predominantly in fur, wool and tweed, sourced in the UK, Ireland and Ecuador. Shapes are traditional but with a modern twist and a rich colour palette, aimed at a unisex market.

Hat accessories, (brushes, hat jacks, beautiful feather pins), hat boxes, Maple wood handle umbrellas and gift vouchers are also available in store.

Alex & Zofia Laird Hatters Oxford

We met at university and shared a passion for hats so decided to create our own brand. We have our workroom in Hertfordshire where we manage and design all of the hats and caps in the factory. We are very proud to be one of the few manufacturers of headwear left in the UK. We have stores in central London and Cambridge and were very excited when we found this store in Oxford, we knew it would be perfect for us. We love Oxford and feel our style will fit in well with the community.

Three women celebrate outside the upcoming Everybody Studio, a yoga, Pilates and barre studio. The shopfront features large "Coming Soon" window graphics in a warm peach and burnt orange botanical design. All three women have their arms raised in excitement — one stands to the far left in a dark long-sleeved top and black leggings, one in the centre wears a black sweatshirt, and one strikes a dynamic pose in front of the signage in a dark zip-up jacket and patterned leggings. The entrance doors to the unit are visible to the right.NewsNew yoga, Pilates and barre studio opens in Botley
