ABOUT

Drawing from her knowledge of science, herbalism and aromatherapy, Charlotte Spencer brings you quality botanical wax candles, melts and reed diffusers made from fine ingredients, beautifully scented and hand poured in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Her products, which include aromatherapy gift boxes and apothecary-inspired burners, have a look of tinctures, tisanes and balms.

Perfect for gifting or treating yourself. Charlotte also runs The Cotswold Makers, a monthly market in West Oxfordshire curated of artisans who are passionate about their craft and engaging with their audience. Many small businesses find themselves hidden behind their brand much of the month, and these markets are an opportunity for makers to meet their demographic and find out what makes customers tick. On board are wire sculptors, artists, silversmiths, leatherworkers, chocolatiers, ceramicists, wildcrafters, macrame makers and more besides. Charlotte hopes it will evolve into more of an immersive experience in the future with live demos and workshops.

I have always loved using my hands in what I do, whether to create things or to help others heal. As an holistic practitioner, I don’t think my therapy space has ever been without some kind of scent burning or diffusing into the room, so candle making is very much a natural extension to what I do and is now the mainstay of my business. I love the science behind what goes into making and testing a product to the creativity of evolving a brand which speaks to the apothecary in me!
