OXFORD COMEDY FEST 2026

The Oxford Comedy Festival returns for a month of laughter across venues including Tap Social, Trinity College, UPP and Pegasus Theatre.

SPICED ROOTS – SUMMER EVENTS PROGRAMME

Spiced Roots has a fantastic month lined up, celebrating its 10th birthday alongside a series of unique Caribbean-inspired experiences.

LISTEN TO THIS STORY: FROM HISTORY TO OUR STORY

Running until 17th July at The Story Museum – a time-travelling pop-up that explores how Black lives have been pictured, imagined and celebrated in children’s books – from the days of abolition to the stories on today’s shelves. Discover hidden histories, meet the storytellers who shaped generations, and encounter today’s story heroes. Curated with Professor Karen Sands-O’Connor, University of Sheffield.

CALLY TRENCH & TINEKE BRUIJNZEELS EXHIBITION AT THE NORTH WALL

Daily drawings by the two artists lie at the heart of this exhibition at The North Wall: Tineke Bruijnzeels’ project ‘One more line a day’ using a wide variety of materials and Cally Trench’s ‘Left Hand, Right Hand’ drawings in ink. Both projects reveal the passage of time, and focus on the unit of the day – the most important measure of time in our lives, the unit that governs our routines of waking, sleeping, eating and work.

CAMPFIRE & CONVERSATION

Join busy hard working people around a campfire for the most relaxed outdoor networking with Fat Squirrel Outdoor. Hosted monthly in the walled garden at Asthall Manor, near Burford. There are no formalities, no pitches and no need to work the room, instead you can be yourself and meet other interesting people doing an amazing range of different things. No membership, pay as you go.

SKILLED.SEEN. AT FUSION ARTS

A maker-led exhibition organised by Sylva Foundation @genderdiverse_makers and hosted at Fusion Arts. This new show celebrates women, trans, and non-binary makers creating furniture, products, and objects out of wood.

Opens 18th July at The Story Museum: Mystery Academy: School for Young Detectives. Catastrophe has struck at the Mystery Academy: School for Young Detectives! The brilliant Head Teacher – Christie Moyo – has mysteriously disappeared. Have you got what it takes to solve the mystery and find her?

ABINGDON DISTILLERY 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Abingdon Distillery is opening its bar & distillery all day to celebrate from 12pm through to the evening. Join them for a drink & take a look around the distillery. Expect plenty of G&T’s, a summery cocktail selection, pizza oven on the terrace & good vibes! And they may be bringing back a limited edition or two from the past for one final run… Free to attend, dog friendly.
