ABOUT
Makespace Oxfordshire transforms empty or underused buildings into affordable, community-led spaces that nurture connection and collaboration. It is also building toward affecting longer-term systemic change in the land and property system, making it fairer and more equitable for all for generations to come. It has community hubs in Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage, and Didcot, along with many other single-occupancy spaces across the county.

The growing number of vacant buildings across Oxfordshire is no secret. At Makespace we’re thrilled to help small, purpose-driven, independent businesses and organisations take advantage of these spaces; to break down barriers to accessing space and give fledgling organisations a unique opportunity to test, develop and grow their ideas, whilst also reanimating our urban centres and supporting a more inclusive local economy.
– Andy Edwards, Co-founder & Director
Makespace is such a wonderful place to be based in, being able to be amongst so many other small businesses and freelance individuals, makes being a small business owner much more enjoyable (and a lot less lonely)!
– Jess Harvey, Co-Owner at Woven Ink
