KNITTING FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
If you’ve ever wished you could knit but haven’t known where to start, Sophie at The Woolhound can help you! Learn how to cast on a project, knit, purl and cast off in this class which is designed to teach you the basics of any knitted project.

SILVER MIXED ABILITY WORKSHOP
The Amy Surman silversmithing workshops take place in the bright, colourful, fully equipped silver studio. Workshops are limited to six people who each have their own professional jewellery bench to work from and plenty of one to one tuition.
Weekend workshop run for six hours with a break for lunch. Designed to give you the opportunity to choose a design/project that you would like to make, enter the workshop, with a pre tutorial via email, and make that project by the end of the day.

Monica Sjöö: The Great Cosmic Mother
Artist, activist, writer and eco-feminist Monica Sjöö (1938-2005) was unwavering in her advocacy for gender justice, eco-feminism, matriarchy and social equities. This retrospective exhibition charts her life work and considers the relationship between art, spirituality and politics.
The exhibition at Modern Art Oxford assembles artworks spanning Sjöö’s 40-year career alongside her writing, photographs, activist publications, banners, posters and personal documents to highlight how Sjöö saw creative work as a vital part of life, and art making as a means of reconnecting the alternative values of past cultures to the present.

HIS LORDSHIP: ALBUM LAUNCH IN-STORE
Truck present Rock’n’roll duo, His Lordship, head to the small stage on Cowley Road for an intimate album launch in-store show! Celebrate the launch of their self-titled debut and pick up a signed copy of the album!

BURNS NIGHT CEILIDH
Tap Social Movement present Burns Night Ceilidh with Guerilla Ceilidh & caller Steph West.
Guerilla Ceilidh mix lively Irish fiddle tunes, driving guitar and funky trombone in the bass to create mischievous and feel-good sounds to get your feet going. Steph West loves giving clear calls, offering up cheeky dances and cheering dancers on. Between them they’ve played / play with the Carnival Band, Maddy Prior, Bellowhead, Rholben, the Brass Funkeys, Folkatron Sessions and brought the liberation of ceilidh to thousands. Expect energy, mischief and fun!
