The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived, and the OWC tasting calendar is back in business! We are so excited to welcome you to our brand new tasting room for what we’re sure will be an excellent welcome back tasting.

We decided not to theme this event, but instead just to show you six delicious wines, each chosen and presented by a different member of our retail team.

We’ll begin with an old favourite from the Languedoc chosen by John – Domaine Gayda’s gorgeous Viognier – which balances expressive stone fruit and thirst-quenching freshness. Moving on to Tuscany, our second wine is the Calasole Vermentino, which Katy loves for its sea-breeze salinity and complex, textured palate. Wine number three brings us to Min Yee’s selection, Vins Auvigue’s Macon Solutré, which reminds us all why Burgundy has such an incredible reputation for its white wines.

Becka brings our first red wine, the Alfrocheiro from Terra d’Alter. This bright, juicy wine is a taste of the modern side of Portuguese winemaking. Tom’s pick is a rare Piemontese grape variety – a Slarina from Monferrato which we’re sure you’ll love just as much as we do. The final wine of the night is Emily’s choice, a Xinomavro from Naoussa, which is simply stunning with its beautiful perfume and intense concentration.
