A black comedy from the renowned Ealing Studios, directed in 1955 by Alexander Mackendrick. It stars Alec Guiness, with Cecil Parker, Herbert Lom and a young Peter Sellers, as a gang of thieves hiding out as a music quintet in the genteel home of a very proper
elderly lady. When their planned robbery is discovered by their innocent hostess, encouraging them to return the loot, they decided to murder her.
