Our AUTUMN Cotswold Makers Fair returns to Filkins Village Hall, GL7 3JQ (West Oxon) this Saturday 3 October, 10am–4pm— and a cosy, seasonal fair awaits.

Filkins is beautiful in autumn: the lanes quieten, the trees turn, and the hall takes on that gentle, golden light that makes browsing feel unhurried and comforting. Inside, a curated line‑up of talented makers bring thoughtful, well‑made pieces you won’t find in many other places — chocolate, candles, glass, leather and more. It’s a chance to step away from the scroll and enjoy real hand‑crafted quality, real conversations, and a slower, more tactile way to shop. The kind of craftsmanship that feels good to buy and even better to gift as the season turns.

The Hatch will be serving teas, coffee and homemade cake, raising funds for our much‑loved 114‑year‑old village hall, built in 1912 and still at the heart of village life.

Each fair there’s a charity hamper bursting with maker goodies for one lucky recipient, usually worth between £150-£250. In October, monies raised will go to First & Last Mile, providing connections across communities in Oxfordshire to local shops and services.

Make a day of it: browse, chat, soak up the autumn ambience, wander the village’s pretty lanes, and perhaps settle in for a pub lunch at @thefiveallsfilkins.

Entry and parking are free throughout the village.
