A beautiful, friendly café in the heart of Oxford. Delicious locally-sourced cakes, G&Ds ice cream, coffee from Jericho Coffee Traders – and beautiful middle-eastern food from Damascus Rose Kitchen, a social enterprise supporting refugee women in the city. Come for the falafel and mezze, stay for the Pay It Forward scheme and the Old Fire Station’s commitment to working with people who face tough times. Check the website to see what’s playing in the theatre, and on show in the art gallery.
The Old Fire Station was built in 1846. Since then it’s been so many things. Now it’s a building shared by two charities: Crisis Skylight Oxford, and the Old Fire Station arts centre. We love working together to produce great art, help people to be creative, support artists, include people facing tough times because of disadvantage, and work with communities across Oxford. Our café is our window into the world on George Street – we can’t wait to see you.
