Indie Oxford Christmas Market: Activities Guide 2024
The countdown is officially on for the Independent Oxford Christmas Market at Tap Social Taproom.
In case you forgot, mark this Saturday 23rd November, from 11 am to 5 pm in your calendar—you do not want to miss out, trust me.
Alongside the incredible stallholders who are going to be present, we have lots of activities and entertainment taking place throughout the day with House of Fun, Caper, and The Project PT.
The Project PT
This festive season, The Project PT is excited to be part of the Indie Christmas Market, bringing festive-inspired activities that will get your heart pumping and your spirits lifted. From boxing and weightlifting to battle ropes and a fun-filled Christmas Pudding toss, there will be something for all the family.
Rooted in values of inclusivity, community, impact, and kindness, The Project PT is committed to making sport accessible and enjoyable for all.
Whether you are an adult looking to release some energy, or a young person looking to try something new, the activities are designed to help you discover a love for sport in a supportive and fun environment. Be sure to stop by their stall, where you can learn more about their holiday camps and junior classes, designed to help young people feel seen, heard, and supported. With a focus on empowering both youth and adults, The Project PT is here to build community through sport, creating a positive impact and spreading kindness along the way.
House of Fun
House of Fun is thrilled to be bringing all the fun to the market to help keep the kids entertained.
They will be making Christmas tree decorations that are made using sustainable, recycled, and natural materials. Who does not need a new tree decoration to add to the collection. Think mini-trees, reindeer, stars, and snowmen with lots of festive fun. The best part is that they will be dressed up as Santa’s little helpers again.
Whilst all this festive fun is happening, you can also learn more about the school holiday camps, after-school clubs, and in-school workshops that they offer for children. These are centered around building self-esteem as they love to help children flourish through fun, diverse, and creative activities.
Caper
The family-owned bookshop, events, and activity space based on Magdalen Road, will put your crafty side to work. They will help you prepare one of the most important letters of the year- the one for Santa Claus.
“Come along and let us help you write a crafty Christmas letter to Santa Claus! We’ll have lots of creative crafty bits to make your letter stand out so you can be sure he will read it. You can then take your letter home, post it, and wait excitedly for a reply!”- Caper team
Not long until the Independent Oxford Christmas Market. We look forward to seeing you there!
