Intro to Forrest Yoga
Learn the basic moves and breathing techniques of this dynamic and deeply nourishing practice, with the lovely Sarah Leyla Puello.
Forrest Yoga classes are designed to address modern-day ailments such as lower back pain, tension in the neck and shoulders, anxiety, over-stimulation, and a sense of disconnection. In this workshop you will learn how to connect more deeply to your breath and to explore how in combination with physical postures the conscious breath can help you gain insight into physical, mental and emotional patterns. This practice is slow and steady, so expect to hold postures for a little longer and to be offered gentle physical and verbal adjustments from the teacher. The workshop will start and end with live vocal and instrumental sounds. The name ‘Forrest Yoga’ comes from Ana Forrest. Ana’s commitment is to helping people through the four pillars of Forrest Yoga: Breath, Integrity, Strength and Spirit.
The workshop is open to all students from all walks of life; as well as students with specific situations/needs. Forrest Yoga is an entirely inclusive practice and can be offered to pregnant students as well as those dealing with physical injuries and/or emotional trauma. In fact, an important component of FY is to be able to offer modifications to anyone that comes to class regardless of what the situation might be.
