ABOUT
Bridget is an esteemed jewellery designer/maker who works from her garden studio in east Oxford, where she produces small and original collections of handmade jewellery. All the precious metals used within her creations is recycled and is combined with precious beads, stones and fresh water pearls.
Bridget has an instinctive talent and curiosity that has stayed with her from childhood. Her inspiration comes from the natural world and ancient cultures, her collections and style continue to evolve while the quality and wearability of her jewellery remain unaltered.
Bridget also works with customers to re-purpose family jewellery by melting old gold and resetting of stones to create modern heirlooms.
My passion is being a creative, translating inspiration into a 3-dimensional object, my jewellery is my life’s work. I am so humbled by my loyal customers over the years , who have followed me from my shop presence on the Cowley road (‘Uniikki’ 1996-2000 and ‘Bridget Wheatley’ 2000-2015) to my lovely garden studio. It is an absolute pleasure to bring joy to people by a handmade piece of jewellery.
I am also passionate about preserving the natural world especially in my immediate environment and I am a keen gardener growing my own vegetables & encouraging wildlife into my garden.
