SUMMARY:Asana Lab: The Warriors Yoga Workshop with Susanne Kaesbauer at YogaVenue
DESCRIPTION:Susanne has been teaching yoga since 2015 after completing YogaVenue’s Spiralling Crow Teacher Training. For Susanne, a yoga practice is an exceptionally effective tool to bring balance to the body after a day of focused work.
Susanne’s classes are carefully designed to take you from simple to more complex postures seamlessly and prepare the body for real transformation. At times, you will explore postures in more detail to learn techniques; other times you will feel a sense of flow and enjoy the fluidity of movement within the consistent rhythm of class. All classes focus on slow and deliberate transitions into and out of shapes to maximise the strength building benefits. The focus is on graceful and continuous movements that look effortless and feel enjoyable.
These key poses can be overlooked as they are practiced so frequently, but often without too much attention. However, they do provide a key foundation to any yoga practice and key understanding to all the other poses.
The key considerations for these poses will be alignment and how we adapt these poses for our individual bodies. With good alignment comes an energetic strength (different from muscular) which gives us the support, strength and endurance these standing asanas promise, but which can be elusive when we use muscular tension only.We will look at any ‘red flags’ we should be aware of and how we work towards developing and adapting these poses for ourselves and others towards stability, strength and support in these poses.
This 90 minute workshop is free for members (full autopay and yearly members), £20.50 for non members.
At the end of the workshop why not stay for class with Susanne afterwards and put into practise what you have learnt.
