ABOUT
Yellow Submarine’s cafés attract 70,000 customers every year, not only for its high-quality coffee and food but also for its unique mission. The Life Changing social enterprise cafés are home to a traineeship which provides opportunities for young people with learning disabilities and autism transition from education to employment. The charity believes everyone deserves to live life to the full and this programme is one of many ways they support individuals with additional needs. Rated #1 for coffee in Oxford on TripAdvisor, why not try it yourself? Yellow Submarine’s cafés are located on Park End Street in Oxford and at Witney’s Windrush Leisure Centre. The cafes serve delicious ‘Life Changing Bakes’ made on site by the team of trainee bakers, as well as fresh sandwiches, toasties, soup and salads – and of course great coffee!

For over a decade we have been supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism into the world of work through our traineeship in our Life Changing Cafés. Our cafés are a truly special place where customers aren’t just ordering a coffee – they are giving someone a Life Changing opportunity! We have many regular customers due to the quality of food, coffee and service – also because they get to witness the personal and professional growth of our trainees throughout their journey with us.

I love the Yellow Submarine Cafe, if ever I am in central Oxford, I will pop in there for some lunch, as I just want to support them. It’s great how they are supporting and encouraging people with special needs to work in the community.
