ABOUT

Cranston Pickles is your local, sustainable + homemade little pickle factory! Pickling anything founder Fiona can get seasonally and locally, she makes a unique range of pickles, chutneys & jams. Alongside this Fiona holds seasonal Supperclubs + serves up street food at different venues around Oxfordshire to showcase the many ways preserves can be used in a variety of tasty ways! Fiona has many sustainability principles throughout the business too – for every online sale they plant a tree to help with global reforestation and they have a no single-use plastic policy throughout.

Check out the Indie Oxford interview with Fiona on the Independent Oxford blog, and Anna’s IGTV chat with her here.

Cranston Pickles Oxford

Cranston Pickles has always been in the back of my mind. For one, Cranston is my surname so it is as though I was born to pickle! My grandparents have always made pickled eggs at Christmas so I have been obsessed with them from a young age – alongside trips to Japan having grown that obsession over the years. I set up Cranston Pickles to celebrate preserving whilst running the business in a sustainable manner – following my previous life studying + working in the fashion industry, which was quite the opposite. I have also always loved feeding people – so I now do that through my street food and supperclubs as well! Oxford is great as it has so many other independent businesses – and you really get to know your customers.
